The Week in Review: Money Issues #65

“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.
Hey there, Pilgrim …
Do you realize that next week is going to be a short work week for most of us, thanks to that whole “Pilgrim/Indian giving thanks” celebration that originated way back when? Yea, I don’t think those guys had our 9 to 5 work structure in mind when they created this holiday, or the fact that we’d be getting two back-to-back holidays off in a row (Christmas … I was talking about Christmas. You know that national holiday that “they” give us, and our kids, time off for each year) but I, personally, am so glad that they did! So here goes my thanks early people … Cheers to those who partook in that Plymouth Rock party (I think that’s where it took place … but you know how messed up our history has been recorded, don’t you?)… you guys kick a@#!
Well anyways, here goes something else you can give thanks for (me to stop blabbering and give up the goodies [A.K.A. blog finds]):
POLITICS DAILY: Harry Reid Moves Massive Health Bill to the Senate Floor. What’s not to love about this bill? You go Harry! For once you’re showing some initiative … what the hell has gotten into you? Now all you need to do is fire up some doobie with Pelosi so she can get her s@#t together too! Good luck!
PopEater: Janet Jackson: We Knew About Michael’s Drug Problem. This family is just too damn weird … Seriously, if one of my family members had a drug problem like this, I’d have to kick their ass then tell everyone about it, including a drug counselor. This would probably be enough to save their lives … you dig? At my worst, I wouldn’t sweep it under the rug, like these crackheads did — shame on them!
People: EXCLUSIVE: Lauren Conrad to Author a Style Book! L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L O L!!!!!!! Really? And she’s going to write it herself? You mean to tell me that someone’s not going to ghost write it for her? Yea freaking right? Again, L O L O L O L O L!!!!!
BNET: If Consumer Prices Are Down, Why Are Car Insurance Rates Up? This sound like one of those “go ask the man atop the mountain” questions at first … but after giving a few seconds to let it sink in, I’ve come up with an answer: The insurance companies are thieves, who won’t change their evil ways until enough of us demand it (BTW: this is OUR country people)!
DRUDGE REPORT: Arkansas Cop Tasers 10-Year-Old Girl. Take this idiot’s badge! Now!!! Then punch the mom in the face. Real hard (finish this comment with any words of your choosing …. as long as my first two requests have been taken care of! This story makes me sick)!
Did I do enough for you to give thanks for me this week? How was my delivery … was it sweet as pumpkin pie, or as sour as cranberry sauce? What about my material … was it too dark, or too light [note: me likey the dark meat … give me a leg any day of the week. I’m sooo not kidding]? Did you learn anything (yea, probably not)? Well, if you have anything you want to get off of your back, or you just want to drop me a line to tell me how swell of a job I’m doing over here, please do it through my feedback section, which was created for this very purpose? This way I’ll be able to give you what you want, unlike those lying Pilgrims did to those poor Indians! All joking aside … I’d love to know what you like to read, so that I can write it to you!
Another thing, if you haven’t done so yet please subscribe to my daily feed or email! This way I can send you instant notifications of all my latest posts, which I make sure get done each and every weekday (usually in the wee hours of the mornings … actually what the hell are the wee hours? Sounds like a perfect time to take a whiz to me. Ok, back to Normalville …). People, this site is totally dedicated to you, and everyone is always welcome here — remember this always!
Well, I’ll see you back here on Monday … I’m going to go home and get ready for next week with things like beating up some grocery store patron who stand in my way of getting the best turkey, or making sure I have enough brewskis to get through the two football games and national parades! Well I’m out of here guys … have yourself a great weekend and I’ll try to do the same!
