The Week in Review: Money Issues #64
By Pete on Nov 13, 2009 in Reviews
“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.
Hey guys, how’d your week go so far?
Was it easygoing? Did it breeze right on by? Did your Monday suddenly turn into Friday, and at the same time did your workload magically disappear into a cloud of fairy dust? Or, and this is a big or, was the boss riding you all week (way too harshly, I should add here) and putting his size 12 boot squarely onto the back of your neck, while you struggled to gain enough traction to barely squeak by (God, I hope not … please say no to this one. Please)? Yea, that was just me describing both a “dream” job and a “nightmare” job … I know you’re somewhere in the middle like the rest of us. However, I’m pretty sure you’re ready to get out of there for the weekend, am I right?
Well, here go the goodies that I dug up for you this week … hope you enjoy them:
The Huffington Post: Lou Dobbs QUITS CNN (Video). That guy was TOTALLY early 1900’s! I think he might have had a chance at his own radio show, if Rush hadn’t cornered that Right Wing Crazy market!!! NO Soup for you Dobbs!!! Anyone else smell an early retirement? LOL
The Hollywood Gossip: Mike Tyson Arrested in Airport Melee. Ok, Tyson’s innocent this time … please, let me explain: we all know he’s crazier than a s@#thouse rat, and we were only talking crap back in the days when we said we’d take a million bucks to go into the ring with him! That idiot photographer certainly didn’t get this memo: Mike will eat your children, dumba@#!
24/7 Wall Street: IEA Says Rising Energy Prices Could Smother Recovery. Here we go again … some stock trading douche bag trying to stir up the crude oil pot again! I swear, it’s like almost forcing this country into bankruptcy wasn’t enough for them … no these greedy bastards want a second helping, which this new administration will never let happen (unlike that last tard’s administration)! Don’t worry people … these crooks are all talk!
Science Centric: New evidence that dark chocolate helps ease emotional stress. You know what else dark chocolate eases … fights with girlfriends, wives, mothers and sisters! Not to mention grandmothers, mother-in-laws and pissed off waitresses. Ok, I didn’t mean to sound sexist … just telling you what else this awesome “god-given” gift cures!
MEDIAMATTERS: Right-wing blogs run with reporter’s false question on jail time under health bill. Here’s the low down people … Fox News is trash! Complete and utter trash, which should have been thrown out when all the other fear-mongers “left” office (read: got discarded)! Want to be scared for no real reason? Then watch this garbage! Want to use your brain? Then don’t (it’s that simple)!
Did I get a little weird on you up there (in my intro, I mean)? Sorry about that … it was my turn to buy coffee and it sucks this week! This usually happens to me when I drink less than desirable java, and I better run to the store over the weekend to redeem myself with some good stuff (here’s a tip: don’t buy anything that’s considered crap). Here’s another question for you: did I irritate you (come on, be honest … ok, not THAT honest jerk-off)? Honestly, if you have any valuable information that you would like me to learn, please let me know through my feedback section. This will also give me a chance to know what you like to read, so that I can write it for you (note: this is what I like to do)!
And if you haven’t done so yet, please subscribe to my feed or email! This way I can send you instant notifications of my latest posts, which I crank out like every single day except Saturday and Sunday (the reason: my brain doesn’t function that well on alcohol and a very steady focus on whatever sports are airing on TV). So, come check me out more often, ok (not like that … I’m married ladies! LOL)?
Well, I’ll see you back here on Monday … I’m almost done writing everything that needs to be written for the next few days, and I’m about to make “it” happen when the closing bell rings its beautiful sound (no bell here … but metaphorically it still sounds very, very sweet. You know what I’m saying, right?). Anyway, enough of my hoopla — go have yourself a kick a@# weekend!
