The Week in Review: Money Issues #61
By Pete on Oct 23, 2009 in Reviews
“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.
Hello everybody … I’m in a great mood today!!!!
Go Phils … I knew you could do it! So, you guys ready to get the hell out of there for the weekend? Got some kick-ass plans? This week flew by for me, even though I was tired as hell from staying up all night on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (what, you thought I was going to be able to sleep WHILE my team is playing for a World Series spot … child, you so crazy! That would never happen … not in a million years [I’ve been a fan way to long {’78 – when I was five – to be exact}]) … Whew, am I spent … but I also feel so alive!!! Four more to win Phils … only four more!!! Let’s do it!
Well, here goes the goods people (in between my acting like a complete child, who’s giddy as hell, I must add). Enjoy:
politicalticker: Cheney hammers ‘afraid Obama on national security. I think Cheney should just STFU … really? Hasn’t he done enough damage in this country? Him and that idiot from Crawford? Ok, let me just forget about what I wrote … damn, I just clicked on it again! I’m a sucker for punishment. Really!
autoblog: REPORT: Pay czar planning up to 90% compensation cuts for top auto execs. How oh how will they ever survive now? Who gives a rat’s ass … they should have thought about that while they were screwing over the American population of vehicle owners! Here’s your medicine … now take it you thieves! Good riddance to rich white trash!
The Washington Independent: House Panel Approves Creation of Consumer Financial Protection Agency. It’s about freaking time … those banking “standards” have made a lot of thieves rich, and opened a ginormous gap between the haves and the have-nots in this country! Let’s duct tape that hole shut for now, while we work on cementing a permanent solution! Let’s make this happen.
DISSENTING JUSTICE: 151 Congressional Republicans Oppose “Public Plan” But Enrolled in Medicare! Ah, this is great news … and by great news I really mean a hypocritical sham! People the healthcare industry doesn’t give a s#$t about you … sure they’ll gladly take your money, and then when you get sick they’ll make you even sicker (due to stress). We need a public option and we need it now … I don’t know what the people opposed to this plan are thinking (oh yea, probably nothing as usual)!
X17online: Nicole Richie Launching A New Fashion Line. This one’s too easy … use your imagination as to what I might possibly say, and then add the fact that I sometimes take s@#t too far! Oh, and add how much I think the media is hurting real women’s body images (note: they don’t know what sexy really is)! Catch my drift? Good! Done!
Hey guys, did you like what you just read? Did I annoy you with all that Phightin Phils talk? God, I hope not … but you see, this kind of winning sounded like a pipe dream to us Philadelphians just a few short years ago … and now I’m basking in that glow!!! Sorry if I sound like a complete idiot, but this is all I can muster right now – my bad (said McNabb-style [if you know what that means]). So, are we still cool or what? Please people, if you want me to know something (like that my attitude stinks … or something nicer) then please lay it on me through my feedback section. Then, come hang out here more often. Just so you know: you’re always welcome here! So welcome already!
And like I always say, if you haven’t done so yet, please subscribe to my feed or email! This way I can send you instant notifications of my latest posts, which I crank out like clockwork for my fans … like you Rob from Cleveland, Ohio, or you Tommy from Pembroke Pines, Florida! You guys certainly help me make it through the week, and without your support, I’d be bored as hell! Believe that!
Well, I’ll see you back here on Monday … I’m almost done with all my work, and it’s almost time to get drunk as crap (Ok, four beers get me that way … what can I say, I’m only 150 pounds)! Anyway, enough about me … go have yourself a really nice weekend, with lots of friends and booze! See ya, pal!
