The Week in Review: Money Issues #60
By Pete on Oct 16, 2009 in Reviews
“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.
Man, I can’t wait to go home and slip into my drinking/celebrating clothes!
I have a lot to do this weekend, like watch my Flyers take down the Panthers live at the Bank Atlantic Center tonight … well that’s before watching my Phils beat the Dodgers again in Game 2 of the NLCS (note: I’m getting out of here early today for that). Oh, and then I get to watch them beat LA again in Game 3 on Saturday on TV, and hopefully they’ll come back and beat them again in Game 4 on Monday! Not only that, but I also have to watch my Eagles beat the Raiders on Sunday at my new sports bar hangout (CJ’s in Delray Beach)! Woo Hoo, am I going to be busy this weekend!
Oh well, here’s the good stuff to get you through the day … hopefully you’ll also be doing something equally as cool when you get out of the office for a couple days:
Jezebel: Ralph Lauren Fires Photoshopped Model For Being “Too Fat”. Man, this sick bastard better get his head examined … that girl was actually too skinny! These fashion idiots need to get their s@#t together and start making clothes for real women who are paying for this overpriced garbage (yea, you heard me … fashion is something that sheep waste their money on)! I say a boycott is in order … but really, is this guy even relevant anymore? Yea, probably not!
The New York Times (Arts): Lady Gaga, Without Kanye West, Sets Date For Tour. This is probably the smartest thing she has ever done (those weird ass outfits might count as the complete opposite, however … not to mention that “Is she really a guy?” moment she had a couple months back)! That Kanye “thing” is a cancer (note: a cancer that’s full of itself)! Imma let you finish, but first “Good riddance to bad rubbish!”
GATEWAY PUNDIT: More Americans Want To Win War In Afganistan … Except Democrats. I’m pretty sure this guy’s full of s@#t! This is the “kind of research” that these jagoffs dig up when they want to get a point across, without having to deal with either the truth or hard-nosed journalism. Why did I include this article today, you ask? Only to show you that this vermin truly does exist, that’s all!
The Hollywood Gossip: Falcon Heene, a.k.a. Balloon Boy, Actually Hiding in Attic the Whole Time. Ah, that kid’s a little creep … and his dad is even a bigger one! I hope they get sued for having that many rescue people out there trying to chase down a hoax of an empty balloon. I heard this white trash family was on Wife Swap … go figure!
Phillies: Homers give Phils Game 1, home field. S w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w w e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e t t t t t t t t t t t!!!!!! Well, that’s all I have to say about that. Done.
Did any of this make you laugh? Cry? Did it make any sense to you? Do I? Did I sound like a full-blown boozer (note: I’m really not … four beers get me toasted. What can I say … I’m a light weight?)? Well, if you’d like to comment or what-have-you, please do it through our (mine and yours) feedback section. This way I can find out what you want to read about, and show you what I have to offer in return: a website that actually listens to you, and more importantly, cares about you as a human (not just another number, like those other crappy sites). Nice, huh? It’s true … I’m sincerely interested in knowing what you like to read, so that I can write it for you! So go ahead and write it already, will ya’?
And if you haven’t done so yet, please subscribe to our feed or email (click on the green word “feed” or “email”, and you’ll see what I mean)! This way I can send you instant notifications of all the latest posts that I make sure are ready for you to read early on in your day (before that lazy boss of yours sprouts his ugly head, is what I’m trying to get at). Well, that’s if your day consists of one in between Monday and Friday, of course (me no play that weekend crap).
Well, I’ll see you back here on Monday … I’m off to watch my Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles kick some major A@# (hopefully … wishful thinking on my part) and guess what … it’s almost Sixers season as well (they’re still in the preseason, which I usually don’t watch … that’s the boring stuff to me). I can’t wait! Well, here’s to the Yuenglings I must consume, the lady I love to hang out with, and my buddies to keep me company! Enough of me … go have yourself a great weekend! And I’ll do the same! Peace out!
