The Week in Review: Money Issues #5
By Pete on Sep 5, 2008 in Reviews
“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.
Man, I wish every workweek only had four days in it (thank you Laborers)!
On paper, starting in on a Tuesday should have giving me a chance to come back relaxed and ready for a short week, right? Wrong! Some of my fellow blogger “friends” came up with this dumb challenge for all of September — we’re going to try and post on Saturdays and Sundays as well (thanks guys, more work for me). What I’m asking you to do is nothing; read this weekend garbage if you want to (my promise to you: it’ll only be a short blurb, if anything). If not, go have some fun in the real world!
Until Friday’s clock strikes 5:00 (and the party begins), check out some of these golden nuggets I dug up this week (no thanks to Monday):
Broke Grad Student: 10 Stupid Ways College Students Waste Money. Ah, remember the good old days: blowing all of your cash while footloose and fancy free? I don’t, because I didn’t (I’m a cheap ass, remember?)!
Go Shop Win: How you can save money on your Amazon Buys. If you use this site, this info could save you some cash! Plus, all good blogs start off with the line, “Whilst chatting with a friend of mine at the pub recently …”
WISEBREAD: Fantasy Football Leagues in the Workplace? Hey Linsey, if your boss doesn’t allow it, maybe it’s time to get a new job. Fly, Eagles, Fly!
The raw story: ‘Polar bear’ beaten with sack of money at RNC protest. Those damn protesters are hilarious! Hey Palin, I didn’t hear you mention any of this in your sappy, one-sided, God Country speech! I knew you were up to no good.
THE HIRING SITE: Mo’ money, mo’ problems? Your employees will take that bet. To those 100 idiots who aren’t listening to what we, as Americans, really have to say — you better read this. Ya heard?!
If you liked these articles, and have a few seconds to spare, send me your feedback. Also, I’d be interested in hearing what you want me to write about (I really would) so let me know that too and I’ll hook you up.
If you haven’t yet, please subscribe to our feed or email, so you can receive instant notification of new posts from us (your new pals).
See you back here on Monday — this time we have to come in (dang)!
