The Week in Review: Money Issues #40
By Pete on May 29, 2009 in Reviews
“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.
Hello ladies and gentlemen (pretty classy intro, right?)!
Ready to get out of that hard, awful-for-the-back, crappy chair that was 75% off at the Office Depot (clearance section, baby! Yea, you know how your boss rolls!)? Ready to go do some cool stuff with the family and friends? Got some baseball games that you want to catch? Reality shows (God, I hope not … for both yours and humanity’s sake)? Ok, I’ll stop with all the personal questions already (I get like that sometimes, sorry).Well, if you’re reading this before the old buzzer strike 5:00, why not give some of the following articles a chance to get you through your long day (and then out of that old, broken and very uncomfortable chair)?
Here they are … in all their glory:
Celebrity News: Piers Morgan Defends Susan Boyle After Public Outburst. This immoral, no-talent Piers strikes me as a creep that would do, or say, anything to stay in the spotlight just one second longer! Actually, this is a proven fact (sorry, didn’t do my research)! Man, that Boyle chickie’s got some serious pipes (too bad the ugly stick got to her first … I apologize, that was inappropriate!).
PEREZHILTON.com: Adam Lambert on His Future. This is what he left out (because it was too REAL): “I’m going to wipe this eyeliner and lipstick off, get rid of this goofy haircut, wind up making a stupid A.I.’s ‘Greatest’ Hits album with Rueben ‘Where Is He Now’ Studdard, and eventually go back to working a 55-hour crummy job, while living under a rock!”
politicalticker: Gingrich: Sotomayor ‘racist,’ should withdraw nomination. Hey Newt: look at the pot calling the kettle black! I’m a white guy, and I took absolutely no offense to what she said … get off your high-horse! Plus, keeping company with Rush “Talking Trash on McNabb Because He’s Black” Limbaugh isn’t going to help your case one bit — you old racist bastard!
Joe. My. God. : Levi’s Goes To Bat For Marriage Equality. Man, just when I thought all the freaking posers with stupid yellow bracelets have jumped off a huge cliff, this crap happens. People, it’s a corporation, and they’re trying to sell you on an ideal (think about it … then say no! Then mean it!). They don’t care what you believe in — as long as their turning a profit!
FIRSTSHOWING.NET: Terrible Promo Trailer for Werner Herzog’s Bad Lieutenant. Yea, horrible trailer … but then again, so is Nicolas Cage! He’s like the woodenest actor that I’ve ever seen in my life, and the only reason he’s famous is because he’s related to the industry. Go ahead … tell me one good film that he’s done (without someone telling you that it’s a good movie … because people, especially people in Hollywood, lie like hell)! Yea, I didn’t think so.
Did you like what you just read? Any of it (please say, “Yes”)? All of it (I would just be straight up lucky if this happened)? Did any of it hit home for you? If you’d like to answer any of these hard hitting questions, please do it through my (no, make it ours. It’s just as much of yours as it is mine. You made MoneyRemix what it is today, after all) feedback section (this way I can give everyone what you want: a website that actually listens to ALL of its readers [not just a few like those other guys, with their self-important attitudes]). I’m very interested in knowing what you like to read, so that I can write it for you!
And if you haven’t yet (and seriously … who hasn’t?) please subscribe to my (I mean ours … sorry, I forgot) feed or email! This way I can send you instant notifications of the latest posts that I crack my rocks to write for you every Monday through Friday (don’t give me that Saturday and Sunday crap, cause I’m not playing that game. LOL).
Well, I’ll see you back here after the weekend … I’m off to go do a bunch of fun things like fishing, watching my Phillies take on the Nationals, getting a few Yuenglings in there and hanging out with the wife and some friends … once I get out of this old, hard, clearance section chair that I’m in! Anyway, enough of my drama — have yourself a great weekend! I really, really mean it!

I have to agree about the statement of Nic Cage. He has never gotten over the trauma of being on screen and hence his always consistent wooden acting. Horrible actor but he is where he is because of luck
