The Week in Review: Money Issues #24
By Pete on Feb 6, 2009 in Reviews
“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.
It’s the end of the week already? Man, this week just flew by!
From Monday till now, I have been doing nothing but banging these keys nonstop trying to get four weeks of work into three this month (I’m taking off a week to get married in Key West)! Then I occasionally look over and see Geoff casually writing his articles at a slow leisurely pace (that guy’s a pain in my … Just kidding …. Or am I?) Well, I’m done with my break … back to work!
I found the following articles while blog-searching for you during my lunch break (told you, no time to catch my breath until March):
BUZZNEWSROOM: Wall Street Exec whines that $500,000 salary cap is “unfair’. This guy is kidding right? He actually thinks he’s worth more than a half a million dollars a year for LOSING his company over $30 billion! This guy should be fired for not being good at math … for example: dishwashers make sure their job always gets done, and they only earn like $6.50/hour!
MAMAPOP: Will Michael Phelps Be Charged For The Pot Smoking? IMHO: No, I don’t think he should be! Nor do I think anyone should be charged for it (God put it on this earth for a reason … are you better than God, Sheriff from Columbia, SC?). Really, what’s the big deal about pot-smoking, anyway? Almost everyone in this nation has done it, so who are we to judge? Let’s all stop being hypocrites for once in our damn lives!
Dick Mac (alive!): Are American People Really Wising Up At Last? I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it a thousand times over: Rush Limbaugh is a piece of flavorless gum stuck to the bottom of a bubonic plagued rat’s foot, while that said creature of darkness is running through the sewers of some stinking, garbage-filled (let’s not forget condemned) porn-shop on the wrong side of the tracks! Ignore his blatantly racist, and very elementary, being and behavior at all cost!
Ohio.com: Denny’s scores a Grand Slam. This deal was horrible! Down here in Boca Raton, the lines went all around the corner, and they were filled with old people and the homeless, who never go anywhere without the word “free” involved (what I’m saying: this is not repeat business that you just wasted your resources on). I had to eat at the place down the street (and also had to pay)! Thank you Denny’s … your place sucks!
The Scores Report: Top 7 reasons why Super Bowl XLIII was an Instant Classic. I didn’t like either team this year (I especially didn’t care for Arizona for knocking my Eagles out of it) but I do have to admit that it was a kick ass, dragged through the mud type of game! Man, I would pay thousands to see my team have this kind of game just once in the Super Bowl (I think they would have last time, but the Patriots cheated us out of it)!
Hey, reader, how’s it going this? Did you have a rough week? Boss breathing down your neck for most of it? Let me hear about it? I’m serious …why not join your fellow Remixers and tell me what your life is like (take it easy though, I’m no psychiatrist or anything) through our feedback section. This way I can know who’s reading my crazy nonsense (crazy, yes. Informative? I sure hope so!) and give you what you want … no need: a website that actually listens to its customers.
And if you haven’t done so yet, please subscribe to my feed or email! This way I can send you instant notifications of my latest posts, which is worked on every Monday through Friday by yours truly.
Well, I have to go … I’ll see you back here on Monday. I have big plans this weekend like helping my fiancée take in the four movies that we rented from Blockbuster, and downing a few Yuenglings in the process. Anyway, enough about me — have yourself a great weekend! I really mean it!
