The Week in Review: Money Issues #14

“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.

Go President Obama … Your country has spoken!

Whoa … it’s about freaking time! Can you imagine this: in a few short weeks the idiot (and his posse) will have left the building! NO more scare tactics. NO more turning their back on victims during grand-scale emergencies! We’re going to get out of Iraq, and not start any more trouble with any other countries! This is actually happening … This is our time, it’s our nation now … and whoever doesn’t like it (ex. people who love to live in a fearful state and watch Fox News) can kindly move up to Canada (what’s that Canada? Oh, they don’t want you up there either).

For those who care about this country’s economy (not to mention, their own finances) get ready for some serious change … YES WE CAN! Oh, that feels great to say. BTW: I found some good articles to help you pass the time, until closing time (read: beer-o-clock). Enjoy:

Frugaldad: Living Frugal With Other People’s Money. Read this, because bosses don’t really like it when their employees go crazy with the company credit card! And turn out the lights when you go home (they do like that)!

Wise money matters: How to get the best deal on a house. This article offers a few good tips on how to save on your next home purchase. However, they forgot the biggest tip: Wait! Really … the market is taking a dive and it’s not going to get better anytime soon. In a few months, realtors will be begging you to buy their properties (and coincidentally give you a much fairer, late 1990’s price)! Mark my words!

Third World Cash: Irritating officemate … Remember this: You have to pick your brokers like you do your nose (by digging deep and flicking away the ones that stick to your finger. God, I hate the clingy type … they always want more and more money from you)!

Cash Money Life: Worst Airline Fees. Ok, there’s not much you can do about these tasteless charges, which the airlines have snuck into their bills lately. Just know that they exist, and try and shop around these future bankruptcy cases websites to see which one pays the most attention to its passengers’ concerns (I say this because the customer should always be first, and they’re just not getting that).

THE BROKERS WITH HANDS ON THEIR FACES BLOG: A site paying tribute to the sick, greedy, notoriously unfriendly, pain-in-the-ass, idiotic, narcissistic, not cool, heavy smoking, not-caring-about-anyone-or-anything jerk-offs who helped get us into this economic mess. To the a-holes whose pictures made this site: hope you learned your lesson. And oh yea … there’s a new sheriff in town!

Did you have fun reading any of this stuff? If so, then why not join the other Remixers and let us know how you feel with a bit of feedback (this way you’ll have what you want: a website that you can call your own). Geoff and I would really like to know what you want to read, so let us know already (LOL)!

Also, please subscribe to our feed or email so we can send you instant notifications of our latest posts which we work on every morning from Monday through Friday (Saturdays during a blue moon).

I’ll see you back here on Monday … I’m going to do some celebrating this weekend, because I know that tomorrow will be the dawn of a new day here in the good ol’ U.S. of A.. Anywho, have a great weekend! I really mean it! You too, Obama (thank you)!
