The Week in Review: Money Issues #12

“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.

Hi guys (and gals [sorry ladies])!

Ready to get out of your cubicle for the weekend? Ready to go whoop it up during the weekend sports? Do you like to get the most for your buck? Ok, I’ll stop asking questions, and let you get back to wrapping things up before you go home. If you’re reading this, and it’s only like 1:30 pm, why not give some of the following articles a shot (I did, and I must admit that I learned a valuable thing or two)?:

Truthdig: I RAN FOR VICE PRESIDENT AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS $150K WARDROBE. Seriously, I thought red-meats were supposed to be shopping at Wal-Mart. Neiman Marcus? That’s for those Liberal Elite Bastards.

The Hook: For Love or Money? An ethical debate that includes Madonna (the singer, not the nice one). Hey, since when has this little hussy done anything ethical. Read this if you’re bored. The quick version: Have kids and love them. Let greed take over someone else.

Seth godin’s BLOG: Maybe you can’t make money doing what you love. Written by an artsy-type who’s trying to justify his existence. Read, if only to see how the other-half live (wait a second, I live on that other side. Drats!).

The Art of Manliness: 3 Man Killers: Money. This article is for those who went the wrong way with the For Love or Money article (see: look up dummy). Enjoy, and then make it to church this week (you have some things to confess, and they can help you. I can’t). BTW: I’m just messing with you (note: never take me seriously. Seriously)!

The Huffington Post: We all live in Pottersville Now. Read this, if you want to see what the government must do to get the housing market back on track? And don’t think for a second that McCain and Palin will give this article (or any like it) one iota of thought (as if they were capable anyways) if they get elected (God-forbid)!

Like what you just read? Then why not join your fellow Remixers and give me a few moments of your valuable time with a little feedback (this way I can give you what you want: a website that actually listens to its readers). Geoff and I are interested in knowing what you like to read, so that we can write it for you!

And if you haven’t yet, please subscribe to our feed or email! This way we can send you instant notifications of our latest posts which we work on every Monday through Friday.

I’ll see you back here soon … I’m dying to see if my Phillies can pull it off this week, so I’m a big bundle of nerves right now (and I don’t have any fingernails left). Anyway, enough of my troubles — have yourself a great weekend! I really mean it!
