Here’s a fact: most advertisements are full of s@#t (some more than others [see pic])!

Whether it’s on TV in a 30-second spot in between your favorite show, or in the weekly circulars that are tucked inside of your Sunday newspaper, you almost have to know that some advertising company was paid big bucks to make you do or buy something that you wouldn’t do or buy otherwise (not with a clear mind I should clarify here). So my advice to you is this: take these lies with a grain of salt, while you quickly turn up your bulls@#t meter a few notches at the same time!
Throughout my short life, I’ve met plenty of people and companies who are full of absolute s@#t, AND plenty who are as sincere and genuine as they come. The tricky part then comes when this person or company insists they are one way (like wholesome and good for you) yet their actions depict them in an entirely different light. When this crap-talking session occurs, you’re nostrils should begin to flare up, and when they’re saying that they are a certain way, but nothing in their past reflects this claim then this would be the perfect time to walk away from this bulls@#t (I mean right now … while they’re trying hard to suck you in!). Is some jerk-off getting you all kinds of Incredible Hulk pissed off at work (which is making your productivity level take a sharp nosedive)?
Well, you’re not alone … the workplace in general crams a bunch of jumbled people together, with a ton of very different personalities (some good, and some insanely horrific) and even though most of your coworkers will be pretty easy to get along with, there will always be that one “person” who you utterly despise … even though you can’t put your finger on why! Now, what sets the workplace apart from other places, like your home life or softball team, is that everyone (even the despicable people) must cooperate in order to get their work finished. It only makes sense then that you must do your part in relationship building to boost your company’s results! Continued

Work clothes are expensive!
How did I, Mr. Frugal, figure this out, you ask? Well, lately I’ve been frustrated with my limited work wardrobe (I have way too many sports related t-shirts [Go Birds!] and not enough things I can wear in a boardroom meeting! This would usually be OK with me, but I work in a professional environment and part of the costs of having this great career means that I need to maintain a certain standard, and style, of dress (not to impress as much as not to be laughed at).
However, I can be pretty cheap when it comes to shopping for work clothes! I often buy things from the clearance racks at Target or the Gap, which means I usually spend very little money, but also end up with something of relatively low quality. So low in fact, that in a couple of months down the road, that $10 button-down clearance shirt will be losing its buttons, it’s going to unravel at the seams and more than likely fade drastically! Sometimes I like a shirt so much that I’ll do some minor surgery on it (to keep it going for a while longer before it totally disintegrates)! Continued

If you have ever dreamed about winning the lottery, you’re not alone …
It’s in our human makeup to dream, after all, and having that much cash held over our heads is enough to make most people drool, and this drooling certainly causes millions (no billions) of people to throw caution to the wind, forget what their gut instinct is telling them and hand over a few bucks for that one in a zillion chance at the good life! I mean, when you really sit down and think about what the odds of winning actually are, you’d be able to clearly see that you’d be kissing your hard-earned money goodbye, as you hand it over to the cashier (who, by the way, is probably going to buy some tickets as well).
Everyone, who actually ever took a second to think about how ridiculous this lottery thing really is, pretty much knows that the probability of winning a prize is a very big (I mean tremendous … GIGANTIC even) long shot. The truth of the matter is this: your actual odds of winning any lottery out there ultimately depends on where you play of course, but single state lotteries usually have odds of about 18 million to 1, while multiple state lotteries have odds as high as 120 million to 1. Now, can you see that you’re never going to win (sorry to break it to you so hard)? Continued

Take good care of your vehicle — it can lead to many years of trouble free, reliable service!
Many people, across this great nation of ours, work on their own car. Why, you ask? Well, it’s not only a great way to keep them on the road, but it’s also a great way to save some of your hard earned moolah in the process! Nobody (I mean nobody) wants to go to a car dealer or garage (both of which hire a lot of creeps that like to rip people off) for fun — we only go when we really have to (aren’t you in that same boat?)! Not to mention that it’s getting extremely expensive nowadays (upwards of $85 per hour for labor costs, with a half hour minimum at most places). So, if you are able to repair even the smallest things that can go wrong with your car, you might be able to both skip the mechanic, and keep some money in your bank account!
Ok, now that I got you all hyped up and you’re ready to tackle you car’s ailments, you should at least know the following major rules first (there are a million smaller rules that you can learn from car manuals, the internet or you uncle Charlie [who knows a thing or two about turning a wrench] but I’m only going to cover the very basic stuff here): Continued
