Don’t Let The World Beat You Down!

When it comes to getting ahead in life, there are two polar-opposite trains of thought …

The first comes from the mouth of those who are on the road to success … the ones who believe that anything is possible (of which it is, if you know where to look). These enlightened people know for a fact that they can pay off all their debts, save for things they really need, and ultimately live a very bright life in the process. They consistently plan for the future, they work harder than most, and they make sure stuff gets done. This, my friend, is the “can do” attitude.

Then, sadly, there are those who believe that improving their situation is just too impossible without any handouts from people with money (who really want to keep them there)! Their motto: the little guy just can’t get ahead. These misinformed individuals truly believe that everyone else has some kind of advantage over them (the real truth: no one does, unless you let them). They’re of the opinion that others who have gone on to do well have gotten there because they treated others unfairly, or because they were handed it on a silver platter. Note: these false ideas are poison to those who drink it! Continued

Save Your Sanity: Get Out The Office Soon!

If you work for a living, then you MUST get away from the office from time to time.

While this is easy to write, I’m always amazed by how many people I talk with who fail to take the full vacation time off that their company allows them each year. It’s a well-known fact, however, that a happy worker is a much more productive worker, which also makes everyone else in the office (including the head honcho) a winner! What I’m trying to say is forget about cashing those vacation days in at the end of the year – use them to their fullest potential instead! What? You can’t take a whole week off? Well then, take one or more weekdays off around a weekend. I take off on as many of these little “adventures” as I possibly can, which certainly helps save my sanity! Continued

Next Stop: The Good Life — Pay Your Dues Now!

Sweet words of wisdom to live by (if you ever want to make something of yourself, that is):

“I’ve paid my dues … time after time. I’ve done my sentence. But committed no crime … we are the champions, my friends. And we’ll keep on fighting, till the end. We are the champions. We are the champions. No time for losers, cause we are the champions – of the world.” — Queen

Seriously … why is the media preaching impatience? Why are they telling an entire generation of idealistic, educated, and aspiring fresh-faced people that they’re wasting their lives away if they’re not making it to the top within two years after college? “The potential is everywhere,” they’re loudly yelling across the airwaves! “Don’t wait, stay restless, and buy everything right now!” This is an unhealthy dose of super-impatience, and the only people benefitting from this mass confusion are the corporations, who are paying for this sort of subliminal advertising. The truth is, however, that it’s utterly destructive to all those who are taking its words as pure gospel. Continued

This Is One Seriously “Ignorant” Article!

Life is way too short to worry about ignorant ass people!

Seriously … I often wonder what ignorant fools get out of life. Do they get up in the morning with the sole purpose of being ignorant in life? I have seen so many of these jerks just walking around with this awful curse of a brain that doesn’t let them see other’s viewpoints, which they never seem to consider anyways, because they’re just too damn ignorant. Sometimes I just want to look them right square in the eye and shout, “WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!” The reason for this outburst: just because they live a miserable existence doesn’t give them the right to ruin someone else’s day (note: they’re very good at this). Does Life Suck This Time Around? Relax!

We all live in a face-paced, get everything-we-can-right-now sort of world, and relaxation has become somewhat of a luxury to most of us suckers, who don’t like to screw people over to get what we want! For us 9-to-5ers, there always seems to be something strenuous to do at work, and then when we get home from our long 8-hour shifts there’s even more to do, am I right?! So, how on earth do we find the time to relax (note: I mean truly relax) when we need it the most?

Well, I believe in reincarnation (uh oh, they’re jumping on my back before I even get started) and that some of our lifetimes are strictly for enjoying the view, having as many vacations as humanly possible, and knowing that’s it’s alright to want to have a pleasurable journey along the way (I’m sorry if this model doesn’t fit into your religious structure, but it’s the path I’ve chosen after realizing that fear is bulls#@t, to put it lightly). I seriously don’t think that my creator would make such a beautiful world to live in, and then get offended if I spent the rest of my life enjoying everything it has to offer. I want to enjoy my life thank you, and if I uncover something “great” along the way, it’ll just be the cherry on top of a good life! Is it wrong for me to think like this? Should I really care what others think? Continued
