Invest In The Lottery: What Stupid People Do!

If you have ever dreamed about winning the lottery, you’re not alone …

It’s in our human makeup to dream, after all, and having that much cash held over our heads is enough to make most people drool, and this drooling certainly causes millions (no billions) of people to throw caution to the wind, forget what their gut instinct is telling them and hand over a few bucks for that one in a zillion chance at the good life! I mean, when you really sit down and think about what the odds of winning actually are, you’d be able to clearly see that you’d be kissing your hard-earned money goodbye, as you hand it over to the cashier (who, by the way, is probably going to buy some tickets as well).

Everyone, who actually ever took a second to think about how ridiculous this lottery thing really is, pretty much knows that the probability of winning a prize is a very big (I mean tremendous … GIGANTIC even) long shot. The truth of the matter is this: your actual odds of winning any lottery out there ultimately depends on where you play of course, but single state lotteries usually have odds of about 18 million to 1, while multiple state lotteries have odds as high as 120 million to 1. Now, can you see that you’re never going to win (sorry to break it to you so hard)? Continued

Never: When Politicians Will Care About The Poor!

The leaders of the free world have a love for money that regular folks don’t even know about!

I don’t know if you know this or not, but very rich people and corporations are running the government, while the poor and middle-class (note: someone who makes $100,000/year is not rich in my opinion … keep this in mind for future reference) are just voters who send these same rich people to rule over them! The poor still believe in this whole fairy tale that only rich people should be allowed to sit on the chairs of power, and that they should be grateful that they are allowed to remain patriotic (what does that even mean … really?) and obey the orders passed down by those who had been sent to rule over the land.

These same politicians, who usually only side with the rich business class, exploit the positions and situations of the people who kill themselves working for their table scraps off the corporate plates. They’re pretty much making sure that the poor remain illiterate, unemployed, hungry, separated, and poverty-stricken because these people would otherwise have enough time to see what crimes are being committed against them in secrecy. All politicians (Republican, Democratic, Green Party … whatever) know that they are only in office because the majority of Americans are poor, ignorant people who are being bombarded with dull, mind-numbing s@#t like Reality TV, sports and phony Americans materialistic dreams (how else could these small groups of criminals still remain in control of this nation?)! The Week in Review: Money Issues #17

“The Week in Review: Money Issues” is my weekly blog research on financial topics that define us as Americans, and shape the way we should do business.

One more month until 2009! Holy crap!

It feels like just last week since 2007, but I guess that’s a good thing because this whole election thing was just drawn out way too long, if you ask me! Also, the two things that I wanted accomplished this year, which I had no control of, had materialized at last: 1) the 2008 Philadelphia Phillies came through for me (it’s been a long time coming. Seriously, I was 7 last time it happened [but I was screaming just the same back then]), and 2) The Democrats just won the political lottery (I’m blue, through and through). So before everyone else in the media does their dumb, end-of-the-year cherishing stuff, let me be the first to tell you that I loved this year and hope to have many more like it!

Thank you 2008: except for the $4 gas for a few months, you rocked! Ok reader, enough of my craziness, the following is what else I could scrounge up while blog surfing today … enjoy: Continued
