One of the biggest drawbacks of shopping online is shipping and handling (S&H) charges!
All things being equal, the best way to save money when shopping online is to compare S&H costs. These fees are a combination of the fees needed to pay for shipping something and the labor involved in “handling” the shipped items. The handling portion is that which exhibits the most price differences, while shipping items tends to be about the same price for similar size weight items (what this means: you’ll pay about the same price for shipping whether you ship from the post office, or from companies like UPS or FedEx). We live in a world full of both hustle and bustle!
Nowadays, the simple life is becoming harder and harder to get even a small piece of. Today’s American homes are nothing more than a rest stop used to get a moment’s refresher, before we move back outdoors ready for the next activity (which is usually a shopping trip, to be honest). Even though this is the average person’s life here in the U.S.A., why let this horrible way to live happen to you? Why not slow it down a bit, and reap the many rewards?
Perhaps in your heart of hearts you’ve always dreamt of living the simpler life. Maybe, just maybe, you sometimes like to actually “stop and smell the roses” but can’t quite figure out how to do it in your everyday situation. I truly believe that a life that is too busy can rob us of some of the greatest joys that could have otherwise enjoyed. I also believe that as we live our life “in the fast lane” we become discontent with almost everything (note: it shouldn’t be this way, of course). Continued

Here’s how I see the music industry’s vehicles of profit (with no time lines to speak of):

For starters, the vinyl record was the medium of choice for a very long time! Even today, as I write this, they continue to be manufactured and sold, especially to the niche market composed of audiophiles, collectors, and D.J.s. Old, out of print recordings remain in high demand by collectors who know what real music is supposed to sound like. In spite of their apparent flaws (such as being freaking huge) many popular new albums are being released on vinyl, and older albums are also being reissued as well (Pretty cool … right, old people?). Like millions of other people out there, I love gadgets in all shapes and sizes!

Just looking around my desk, I’ll sprout off a few that I own: a coffee mug that is 100% leak-proof (you press a button to take a sip, then release it to seal it back up), a voice-controlled alarm clock from Germany, a pair of polarized sunglasses that allows me to see right through the water while I’m out fishing, and a famous maker’s multi-tool that has more features than I’ll ever use in a lifetime. I have to admit, I’m a sucker for a good design, so I thought I’d return the favor …
So, you have a hot new idea for something that hasn’t been created yet – one that people will come to know as a household name (ex. think about the ones you can’t live without around your home for a moment)? If you’re answering “yes” to this question, you’re not alone my friend. Each year, creatively smart people all around this globe are trying to develop and mold their ideas into future commercial success. So how are you going to turn your great idea into a multi-million dollar business amongst all that competition? Well, I sure hope you don’t get suckered in by the scam artist invention companies … Continued

Free.
It’s the word I so love to hear, see, smell, taste and feel! I’m cheap, I get it … it’s not my fault though, as it might be in my blood (I hear all the jokes you guys throw at us Pennsylvania Dutch people. Yes, sometimes I do go “Dutch” [as you spendthrifts like to call it] when I go out to eat, and yes, I truly believe that a penny saved is a penny earned. Got a problem with that? LOL). This word, free, has a bunch of different meanings but the versions I like the most are these two: 1) Costing nothing; gratuitous: a free meal, and 2) Without charge.
Whenever I hear this word, I go “Woo Hoo” inside my brain! When I run across a deal that uses this awesome word, and I actually get to have something for nothing (which would be appealing to a lot of people) or am offered something with no strings attached (which most people are cautiously looking out for) I’ll get a huge smile on my face, float in the air a little bit, and my heartbeat starts picking up drastically. This is what a good, free deal does for me! Continued
