When a man gets engaged, his world suddenly grinds to a screeching halt!

Sure, he has always been a guy, but now he knows instinctively that he will be called upon to become something much more: a man. Maybe he can’t quite put his finger on the difference between a guy and a man, but he knows there is one, and that somehow the difference correlates with the amount of fun he’ll be allowed to have once he says those two infamous words: “I do”! That is why his Bachelor Party must be top-notch … to dull the pain. This is where you, as his best man, come in …
Your job is to dictate what the plans are for the whole night! You has been appointed by the groom to serve as his right hand wingman on one of the most important days of his life, and as a tribute to the groom, you will have the honor of planning something that he’ll always deep down remember. Don’t worry about paying for everything …the costs will be split amongst the rest of the party (thinking about asking the groom for cash? Don’t be that guy … ever!). How many people should be there, you’re asking? I would say only the groom’s party and perhaps a few other friends and family members (I wouldn’t go more than ten; otherwise you’ll lose the intimacy factor). Also, you shouldn’t plan something that’s going to get him in hot water with the bride (however, what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her)! Continued

Is it possible to live comfortably in today’s American culture without money or a job? Down here in South Florida, the mere thought of living without money conjures up images of those scraggly dudes that live down by the beach, shirtless, shoeless and with a paper bag-covered beer can permanently stuck in their hand! Ok, they may have to beg for their supper, but is this outsider lifestyle really that crappy?
After all, these slackers rarely have to work, worry about debt, depend on welfare, and guess what else? These loafers know how to get what they want (seriously, these guys never lack anything). Think I’m kidding? Well, let’s take a look at how these people use craftiness and tact to meet the basic needs that all humans share: air, water, food, clothing, and shelter …
Not to mention that they find these things for next to nothing: Continued

Our pets solely depend on us for their health and safety … period!
People, I don’t know if you know this or not but the greed-driven corporations that are making your pet’s food are not doing a very good job at it. I’ve recently have been searching the web in the hopes that I could find out the process and ingredients that are going into the pet food that I am feeding my pal Bailey, and guess what … it’s not a pretty picture! My advice to ALL pet owners: we need to start feeding our pets the same food that we’re eating — let me tell you why! Continued

Americans love the all-you-can-eat buffet (unless they’re on a diet, of course)!

My first true love for them happened at Shady Maple, in East Earl Township (in Lancaster County, PA) back in the late ‘80s. The reason I fell so hard, so fast: this place is possible the best looking restaurant I have ever been to in my life, and to top it off their food is top-notch. If you’ve ever been to Sizzlers, Old Country Buffet, or CiCi’s and now you’re thinking that you really know what buffets are all about, let me tell you this: you don’t know anything (yet, read on)!
I really love Dutch cooking, and this place has that in spades! I also love it when my “hot” food is hot and my “cold” food is cold, and again this place has me covered! Actually, there’s really nothing missing here: when you’re done stuffing yourself you can walk off the calories in their farmer’s market, and huge gift shop. Another thing you can do: see some smiling faces (unlike a lot of places, Boca Raton being one of them).
Yea, there are buffets all over this nation, and since I am now over 1,100 miles away from my favorite place, I am forced to explore them as well. If you’ve never been to one (which is really, really sad) please do it right the first time: memorize the following “menu”, and no one will know you’re a newbie! Continued

Ever since I was a kid, I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up: a writer. Well, except for the few times I changed it to become an astronaut, superhero, or president (oh, the indecisiveness of the young mind).

However, I always came back to my first love: I read endlessly (still do) and could always weave a story that could hold an audience. Storytelling is what I was always good at (at least I thought so).
What I was bad at was basketball (too short) math (too boring) and any job that forced me to sit at a desk for forty-plus hours a week and pull stones for the “man” (way too boring)! With this in mind, there are only so many places that will pay you a decent wage while studying under these circumstances. My place: an Italian restaurant. My job back then: waiting on tables. My job today: showing you how to save money! Past meet present. So here goes nothing … Continued
