I will never understand people who use a credit card for everything!
AS for me, and my thrifty shopping habits: I always limit my spending to what I have in my bank account at the time (plus, as an avid saver, I always have extra cash when emergencies arise). Alright, alright … I kinda’ understand the “psychology” behind the credit card use: most people don’t feel as much of the pain of spending when they use plastic as opposed to cash…but I can’t understand this kind of talk: “I have plastic so I think I can afford more than I really can”. That just doesn’t register in my brain for some reason!
So you had a big balance on your cards (wasn’t too bright, you know)? You wanted to pay it back, but you were trying to make ends meet as well, am I right? Then when you got your credit card bill and saw the minimum amount due, I bet that very low amount enticed you to just pay it, and the extra money went towards other things like food and rent, correct? Did you answer “Yes” to all of these questions? Well then, fast forward a few years, and I also bet that you’ve finally figured out that instead of your ancient purchases getting paid off, your freaking amount grew out of control … now, when you finally look at the interest you’ve paid out over the years, you realize that it was as much as the original items you bought! Sound about right? Sucks, huh? Continued

Reputation = the results of what you do, what you say, and what other people say about you.

From the very moment a person is targeted by their peers, his or her life will change whether they want it or not, or as a matter of fact: even if they believes in it or not themselves. It’s true … your reputation has everything to do with the immaterial, which is a more powerful equivalent of a scarlet letter sewed onto one’s clothes (you do know what this means right?). It is more powerful because it may not even be perceived by the individual to whom it sticks, and consequently it is out of the individual’s power to control and manipulate anyways.
Simply speaking, reputation is the sum of impressions held by others you come in contact with each day. In other words, reputation is in the “eyes of the beholder”. So, have people labeled you as something that you don’t like? Well then, there are some simple steps that you can take to aide you in correcting this problem: Continued

Have you ever had the following internal dialogue, right before making a potentially life-altering decision?
“Should I do this? Or should I do that? I need to do this, before I do that, but I’ll wait a few minutes until I go and do that … that’s for sure (or is it?). After that, I better check this, and then maybe do that … oh man, it never stops. Oh well, maybe it’s too late!”
Yea, sad to say, but over-thinking is something we all do … like all the time. And sometimes we go waaayyy overboard in the process! During these times, most human beings can’t stop this stupid, time-consuming babbling nonsense (thanks evolution … you really helped us out on this one [note: I was being factitious])! Continued

Has anyone, over the age of 18, noticed that the music out there today is complete and utter trash?
Seriously, I can’t think of any new songs that move me, and that’s just freaking sad to fathom! To be fair, poppy Top 40 s@#t has always sucked, AND it always will. Nowadays, however, even rock, rap and country can’t get “it” together. Musicians have lost their souls; it’s all about selling an image anymore, and that’s not what “real” music is all about! Real music is supposed to make you think about life … not about how much money some crappy band makes, or how cute of a lead vocalist the corporations can hire (some of the greatest singers in the world were ugly as f@#k … but they sang their asses off to make up for this shortcoming. Now, it’s the complete opposite)! Only a handful of artists are bringing anything original to the plate (without sampling classics, of course). Today, it all sounds the same, and there’s a sad reason for this: corporate bastards have taken the wheel, not the musicians! Continued

Here’s how I see the music industry’s vehicles of profit (with no time lines to speak of):

For starters, the vinyl record was the medium of choice for a very long time! Even today, as I write this, they continue to be manufactured and sold, especially to the niche market composed of audiophiles, collectors, and D.J.s. Old, out of print recordings remain in high demand by collectors who know what real music is supposed to sound like. In spite of their apparent flaws (such as being freaking huge) many popular new albums are being released on vinyl, and older albums are also being reissued as well (Pretty cool … right, old people?).
