Welcome To The Global Warming Company!

There’s a lot of talk about global warming lately, and I’d like to add my own two cents!

For starters, there are obviously two different streets one could walk down, but let me say this: there are super-rich people living on both of them, and they only got this way because they’re profiting off of the common American’s ignorance (note: I don’t mean the derogatory version of this word, and I’m definitely not calling all Americans stupid. It’s just that we have other s@#t to worry about, so we don’t have the time to uncover every little aspect of this very confusing subject. There are mouths to feed, and mortgage payments to make … “they” know this, and are seizing this golden opportunity to add the fear factor, without the masses being able to do much about it). It’s absolutely true, and this is the way I see it (in a nutshell …without a lot of research, because I also have other crap to do!)…

On the one side of the issue, you have the Al Gore idiots, who are going around preaching that we all need to buy hybrid cars (which are much more expensive than regular cars, but not much more fuel-efficient. Truth be told: these are a bad investment, because you’ll eventually have to buy some more ultra-expensive batteries in a few years, and those old ones will be filling a landfill somewhere. How is this going to save the planet?) or more energy-efficient appliances (again, more unnecessary garbage) and those stupid spiral-shaped light bulbs (they’re not going to fill a landfill, right? Bulls@#t to that rational). The end results of this path: the corporations will make a killing off of selling us this garbage, which really isn’t making that much of a difference anyways (why can’t they make a car that gets 150 MPG? Oh, they have one already … oh I see, the oil companies would lose business! That’s right? Sorry, I forgot).

Then on the complete opposite side, you have the ignorant sheep who don’t mind being screwed over by the corporate elite (hey, it’s only business as usual, right?). These are the morons who are still buying the big pickups and SUVs, even though they’re never going to use them for their intended purposes (to haul things around). These antiquated fools love everything bigger and better (in their dumb ass opinions). And do you know what? If this doesn’t change (and it more than likely won’t anytime soon), we’re going to be in this same “sinking boat” when the next century comes rolling around (makes you want to cry, doesn’t it?). The end results of this way of life: the corporations will make a killing off of selling us this garbage, which really isn’t making that much of a difference anyways (sound familiar? Well, don’t you think it’s about time we did something about this greed? I mean before this world goes to hell in a hand basket).

I know this will sound kind of elitist (who created this stupid word anyways?) but here it goes: can we please, for the love of God and humanity, stop selling people MORE JUNK to make us greener (this is only going to make things worse for everyone except the corporate bastards, who are profiting exponentially off of it)? Whatever happened to the real ways to cut down on energy usage like consuming less, sharing more, and turning off stuff when we’re done with it? I thought that these were the “no-brainer” solutions to this energy crisis, which were created by people who actually have a brain and use it daily (I could be wrong about all of this … but probably not)?

So for once, someone (me, this guy) who has nothing vested in your wallet, or whichever way you vote, is speaking up and showing the world what we need to do if we’re ever going to attain energy usage enlightenment: stop being so damn lazy and take some basic personal responsibility for yourself, rather than merely purchasing more rubbish that big business is telling you to buy. Over and out … now turn off this computer if you’re done with it!
