We, as consumers, have never wanted things any more than we do in this day and age … and there’s good reason for this epidemic: there’s more to want, and much easier ways to get it!
For example, cell phones are becoming an essential part of our culture, and so have the rest of the electronic goods like cameras, camcorders, laptops and iPods (note: if you don’t have these, people will look at you like have a second head or something!). It’s true … Americans are blowing their hard-earned cash hand over fist to over-accumulate unnecessary crap in their lives, just to keep up with the Joneses, who are also keeping up with their own set of Joneses. Now, if you’re not really into wasting money all the time, and you don’t give a crap about what your stupid neighbors think about you (welcome to my life … seriously) I think you might just enjoy the rest of this article … because it’s all about finding a deal online (when that “blue moon” finally comes back around)! Free.
It’s the word I so love to hear, see, smell, taste and feel! I’m cheap, I get it … it’s not my fault though, as it might be in my blood (I hear all the jokes you guys throw at us Pennsylvania Dutch people. Yes, sometimes I do go “Dutch” [as you spendthrifts like to call it] when I go out to eat, and yes, I truly believe that a penny saved is a penny earned. Got a problem with that? LOL). This word, free, has a bunch of different meanings but the versions I like the most are these two: 1) Costing nothing; gratuitous: a free meal, and 2) Without charge.
Whenever I hear this word, I go “Woo Hoo” inside my brain! When I run across a deal that uses this awesome word, and I actually get to have something for nothing (which would be appealing to a lot of people) or am offered something with no strings attached (which most people are cautiously looking out for) I’ll get a huge smile on my face, float in the air a little bit, and my heartbeat starts picking up drastically. This is what a good, free deal does for me! Continued

Your eBay search has just led you to what might be the bargain of the century! You were looking for something like this exact thing for the longest time and now you finally found it. You really want this (fill in the blank) and you really want it NOW … but wait a second … take a breath … read this article … and then you’ll be ready! You finished? OK then, let’s get started …

For starters, a good rule of thumb when it comes to buying stuff (anywhere) is that an item is only worth as much as people have spent on it lately (note: sentimental value isn’t a logical argument here. At least, it shouldn’t be). To find this out on eBay: first go down the left column of the page, look for the Completed Items link, and then click on it. This will take you to a list of recently completed auctions of similar items, which will more than likely give you a pretty firm idea of what you might expect to pay for your (fill in the blank again. Make sure it’s the same as the first time though).
Next, commit to memory the following four tips and you should be good to go (read: get your thing for the right price) after that: Continued

Americans love the all-you-can-eat buffet (unless they’re on a diet, of course)!

My first true love for them happened at Shady Maple, in East Earl Township (in Lancaster County, PA) back in the late ‘80s. The reason I fell so hard, so fast: this place is possible the best looking restaurant I have ever been to in my life, and to top it off their food is top-notch. If you’ve ever been to Sizzlers, Old Country Buffet, or CiCi’s and now you’re thinking that you really know what buffets are all about, let me tell you this: you don’t know anything (yet, read on)!
I really love Dutch cooking, and this place has that in spades! I also love it when my “hot” food is hot and my “cold” food is cold, and again this place has me covered! Actually, there’s really nothing missing here: when you’re done stuffing yourself you can walk off the calories in their farmer’s market, and huge gift shop. Another thing you can do: see some smiling faces (unlike a lot of places, Boca Raton being one of them).
Yea, there are buffets all over this nation, and since I am now over 1,100 miles away from my favorite place, I am forced to explore them as well. If you’ve never been to one (which is really, really sad) please do it right the first time: memorize the following “menu”, and no one will know you’re a newbie! Continued

Run as fast as you can to the nearest Krispy Kreme! In honor of National Donut Day (yeah, it caught me a little off-guard too), Krispy Kreme will be giving away, get this – ONE FREE DONUT to every customer today! Say what you want, but I guarantee I just made someone’s day.
What an ingenious idea on their part. Attract a herd of eager, sugar-craving customers to their stores knowing full well that nobody on the face of the earth can eat only one Krispy Kreme donut.
I actually won’t be partaking in the fun as it would cost me more in gas than the free donut is worth (five times over), but hey, if you happen to live within walking distance, go get you an afternoon pick-me-up.
