Things that happen to us only have the meaning we give to them!
Now, as for the act of forgiveness, it implies four different things: 1) you believe that someone has done you wrong, 2) there’s resistance to the present moment or to a past moment, 3) there’s judgment from either a “Higher Power” outside of us or from within us, and 4) you hold a belief in sin or wrong-doing (does any of this ring a bell?).
However, I learned this along the way: my sense of forgiveness is an act of release or surrender. It is actually done for the forgiver (me), more than for the person who is forgiven (the a#@hole). Sure, I understand the hurt and grief that arises when something “bad” happens or “is done” to us, and although I’m certainly not always capable of living at this advanced level of thinking, I don’t necessarily believe that there is a wrong or right label that can be placed on everything in our lives. Now, I know this isn’t a popular way of seeing the world, but it’s the way I’m starting to see it. Continued

Hello my fellow human beings on this large rock, three out from the sun!
How’s you fine Friday going? You guys goofing off over there? To be honest, I have been pounding out the goods all morning, but now it’s starting to slow down … I’m actually coming back into my office from a nice game of Corn Hole (or bean bag toss, or whatever else you call that game where you through a beanbag through a hole in a wooden plank) in the hallway! Don’t get me wrong, we’re not slackers over here, but it certainly does help you blow off steam when your mind is smoking!
Well, let’s move on to the good stuff, shall we? Here, for your enjoyment, is the best of the best that I could find for you this week … Enjoy: Continued

Now, I don’t like to talk crap on people, but seriously, today I heard this woman in the Subway line say she couldn’t live without her stupid blackberry (or “crack berry” as it called in some circles. Look it up on urbandictionary.com if you don’t believe me. [side note: I rarely lie {knowingly, of course}]) and that she had a meltdown last night when it ran out of juice while she was out partying. Is she freaking serious … really?
Lady, you mean to say that you can’t live w/out an inanimate object? So, what did you do 10 years ago? Were you alive back then (she was like 40+, so I’m guessing yes)? Sure you were! I just don’t know about people like this … the fact that we’re so attached to these things in our lives just conjures up images of the book 1984, and it simply pisses me off because that’s where we are heading, if we’re not careful. Don’t get me wrong, a cell phone can in fact come in handy when you need to get in contact with someone, ever since they got rid of all the payphones on the street (I smell conspiracy) but don’t think for a second that I would in a million years consider it a necessity that I can’t live without. Sure, you’re on the National Do-Not-Call Registry … but low lives can’t take hints!

Did you know this: telemarketing boiler rooms use something called “predictive dialing” so as not to waste their pawn’s valuable (read: $2/hour pre-scam) time, while having to wait for you to pick up? Their computer automatically dials your number, assumes it’ll take you on average 2-3 rings to pick up, and then switches you over to the next available telemarketer if you do! Now, not once did I mention that they give a s@#t about that stupid Do-Not-Call registry, did I? That’s because most of them are too thick-headed to care about the laws of society. Plus, the authorities talk a much bigger game than they deliver … and these creeps know it (seriously … how many of these companies are really being shut down? The truth: not many!). Continued

GEICO is the worst insurance provider (in my opinion)!
Allow me to enlighten you (in a time-lapsed version): One day, in the summer of 2005, I parked my car. Someone then hit my car (they were involved in an actual shoot-out with a drug dealer on foot … like a bad after-school special). The pansy then got out and ran (leaving his car atop my back bumper). The cops were then called. The girlfriend of this hit-and-run crook (who actually owned the car) told the cops that she let this jag-off drive her car. She then told GEICO (her insurance company) that she DIDN’T let him drive it. My company (also GEICO) said they couldn’t do anything about it … that it was MY loss. I said I’d be suing THEM, not HER! The manager then gets on the phone and kisses my a#*. She said she needed a ton of police report paperwork, so I got it for her. Continued
